Martinez, CA

Seeking a part-time nutrition workshop facilitator for an adult workshop to be held at homeless shelter in Martinez, CA. Candidate must have experience working with groups of adults and a proven interest or education in nutrition or cooking.

Each workshop class is 1.5 hours in duration and meets once weekly for 3 weeks beginning in September. The class time is 3:30-5:00 PM and the day of the week is TBD. Curriculum and materials will be provided by the organization. A small amount of food shopping will be required each week as part of class preparation.

Compensation for the workshop series is $180 paid in pro rata amounts each pay period.  Mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate of $0.505 per mile. Due to traffic congestion in this area during rush hour, we are looking for a facilitator who lives in Martinez.

Successful workshop facilitators have the following characteristics: warm and engaging personality, strong attention to detail, flexible, creative, comfortable working collaboratively, and responsive to email and phone calls.
