Purpose:
- Learn to use the Food Smarts Curriculum to support nutrition programming with clients.
- Learn how to facilitate recipe demonstrations and group cooking with a group best practices.
- Develop a foundation in trauma-informed care and ACEs and resilience science.
- Develop trauma-informed engagement and facilitation strategies.
Audience: For agency staff, volunteers, and community leaders.
Materials: Participants receive access to digital copies of instructor guides and workbooks. Printed copies can be purchased separately.
Pre-requisite: None
Training Hours: The online, self-paced course will take approximately 11 hours to complete. The live Zoom session will be 2-hours, with sessions offered once per quarter. The next session will happen on February 26, 2021.
