EatFresh.org Mini Course

The EatFresh.org Mini Course is a free nutrition course delivered entirely online. It includes 15 nutrition and healthy living topics that use EatFresh.org as the main resource for easy, inexpensive recipes. The course is available in English and Spanish, and is mobile-friendly.

SNAP-Ed Resource

Agencies who would like to promote the EatFresh.org Mini Course to their clients can request a custom REFERRAL code to track participants’ progress and changes in confidence and intent to change. Contact us to request a referral code and get more information about SNAP-Ed reporting requirements.

Using an engaging narrative structure, viewers are guided through everyday situations and join characters in making healthy decisions to develop healthy shopping and planning behaviors. Courses are designed for low-literacy audiences with beginning computer skills. Participants can earn up to three certificates of completion throughout the course. The course is accessible from both the EatFresh.org homepage and by going to eatfresh.org/minicourse.

EatFresh.org Mini Course for Educators

The EatFresh.org Mini Course for Educators was designed to support nutrition educators. Like the Mini Course, it’s available in English and Spanish and is mobile friendly. The five topics for educators support leading efficient and effective classes using CalFresh Healthy Living messaging, adult learning theories, and facilitation best practices. The topics also incorporate ideas on how to utilize specific resources from our Food Smarts Curriculum and EatFresh.org to complement nutrition programming. However, the course was designed to be useful to any nutrition educator, not just those educators working with the Food Smarts Curriculum. Each topic takes about 20 minutes to complete.

To access the EatFresh.org Mini Course for Educators, users must enter the referral code TEACH upon account creation here: eatfresh.org/minicourse

If you already created an account but would like access to the Mini Course for Educators, contact lauren@leahspantry.org.
